United North is co-general partner in Intercoastal Limited Partnership. Intercoastal Financial, a for-profit real estate development firm, is the other co-general partner, and Intercoastal Management is the limited partner. This 176-unit apartment community also operates under a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 8 Project Based Assistance Contract and completed a “Mark to Market” full restructure resulting in the continued affordability of the project. A $2.4 million renovation was completed in 2002.
